Michael
Shondel. Born in Booton, NJ, Michael Shondel spent his first two years
in Wayne, NJ before settling in Kinnelon, NJ where he has lived
ever since.
Michael is our resident Marine. Being in the Marines has been
a goal for Michael for as long as he can remember and he always
knew he wanted to be in the military. Both of his grandfathers
were in the military as well as other relatives (uncles, etc.).
His
mother is a passionate pianist. She wanted each of her sons
to have something in life they were passionate about. Each learned
to play a musical instrument, and Michael played the trumpet
all the way through high school. One day she put him on a horse
and he has been riding ever since he was 9.
Michael is a recent graduate of Delaware Valley College achieving a Business Administration Degree. Since graduating from college, Michael has started Global Equestrian Enterprises and East Coast Tree Experts which is a full tree removal and tree trimming business. He is also currently teaching dressage lessons and hopes to begin buying and selling top quality dressage horses.
Michael owns Wallaby and Silver Label. Michael has shown Wally from the FEI young riders, earning his Gold Medal there, and is now competing Wally in the FEI Prix St. George and Intermediare I. His Olympic dreams are supported by these talented horses.
Michaels
hobbies include motorcycle riding, being a volunteer fireman
and spending time with friends.
