Ken & Wendy Simons

Dressage is not just for young people!!!!

In the early 1970’s Ken and Wendy Simons lived in Germany for four years. They were exposed to Dressage while living for a portion of the time in Bremerhaven, Germany and being members of the “Reitclub de Bremerhaven”. Their enthusiasm for Dressage and horses lay dormant for 35 years. With their children grown Ken and Wendy decided to rekindle their passions and learn about the world of horses again. While both still work in New York, Wendy as a Physician Assistant and Ken as an executive they live in New Jersey.

Thanks to the persistence of their first dressage trainer Jena Rondinelli, they were introduced to the world of Piaffe-Performance Farm, Cesar Parra and his team. They have enjoyed the riding, learning, and team experience at Performance Farm. Wendy’s Hanoverian Brandy Five commands respect in the Fourth Level show arena being ridden by Performance Farm team members and consistently scoring in the high 60’s and 70’s. Ken has just started showing his first Dressage horse JoJo at Training Level.

Ken and Wendy came to Performance Farm as beginning horse people and were welcomed and made to feel comfortable by Cesar and his team. Being around a farm that schools the caliber of riders you find at Performance Farm has created a never ending perfect picture for them of what they are working towards. As they work to develop their Dressage skills, Ken and Wendy feel younger, healthier, happier, and all with more passion. Training with the Performance Farm team in one word is FUN.

They look forward to continuing their older person’s excursion into the Dressage world and we at Performance Farm look forward to watching them grow.
