Emily Wagner was born in Lazaro, Mexico on January 13th, 1988. Her mother, Jana Wagner, was originally from Germany and met her father in Mexico while sailing. These two sailors then moved to Kansas when Emily was a very small child and here Jana started Wally Woo Farm, introducing Emily to the sport of Dressage before she could even walk. Emily started showing her ponies at eight years old and has been infatuated ever since. It was at Wally Woo Farm that Emily began her training and by the age of 12, Emily had shown 3 different horses to championship awards in training, first and second level. When Emily was 14 she competed in the United States Equestrian Federation Junior Dressage Championships with her mother’s stallion, MACHT. In the following years Emily competed in the Junior Division with Mushu, Phreia, Wallaby, and Pik L; winning all the Junior classes at Dressage at Devon in 2006, with scores in the 70s, and placing top in her region with both Phreia and Mushu. Emily has also always had a strong interest in breeding sport horses and attended the World Breed Federation for Sport Horses Young Breeders Competition in Aarhus, Denmark in 2005. She finished 6th overall, the highest ranking U.S. participant ever! In 2006, Emily Wagner graduated Prairie View High School as a Kansas State Scholar and Valedictorian of her class. Promptly thereafter, in June of 2006, she moved to New Jersey to become part of the Performance Farm Team. Since then she has had the opportunity to ride and show Molinari in the Young Rider division. She qualified for the USEF National Young Rider Championships in Gladstone, finishing 6th in the nation and looks forward to representing Kansas in the N.A. Young Rider Championships. Emily is currently a full time working student for Dr. Cesar Parra, as well as a full-time student at Rider University where she is seeking a global studies degree.
